"The duty of thoughts and emotions is to arise and to pass away. Our duty is to not grasp or cling, to just let them be."
Tsoknyi Rinpoche

Gerardo Abboud (Rinpoche's translator) at retreat
Retreats are conducted in silence. Typically, there are four sitting meditation periods and two teaching periods with Tsoknyi Rinpoche during each full retreat day. The day begins at 6 A.M. and concludes around 9 P.M. Cushion-sitting and chair-sitting options are available.
Tsoknyi Rinpoche determines the content of retreats. Teaching sessions often include interactive question-and-answer periods. The retreat is designed to provide a contemplative environment in which retreatants can practice and participate in the question/answer periods with Rinpoche.

Registration and payment information for Pundarika Foundation sponsored retreats is available in the Retreats section of the website. Retreat fees must be paid by credit card (MasterCard and Visa are accepted; American Express is not accepted). Payment in full is due upon registration. All (including scholarship applicants) registrations incur a non-refundable 15% fee of the total cost of your tuition, room and board. Refunds can only be credited.

The registration closing date is, in most cases, two calendar months after registration opens. Full refund less the mandatory 15% non-refundable fee for the total cost of tuition, room and board, is available for cancellations received prior to the close of registration. There are no refunds available after the close of registration. Refunds can only be credited. If you need to cancel, the registrar will credit the same card with which your payment was made and will send you confirmation of the credit. Due to the time involved in processing cancellation requests, we ask that you carefully consider your ability to attend prior to registering.

Scholarship assistance is available for people with serious financial limitations who would otherwise be precluded from attending retreats. (Please read the Scholarship Policy for criteria.) Should a scholarship be awarded, all remaining fees must be paid to the registrar by the close of the registration period.
